After countless productions spanning several different genres over 10 years, 25-year-old Norwegian music producer Plextro is ready to cook up some funk and disco-inspired pop music.
Plextro started producing back in 2011, and the name Plextro derives from the sub-genre 'complextro' which was his primary genre when producing EDM. In 2020 he rebranded himself to start producing funky pop music under the same pseudonym.
Inspired by acts such as Quincy Jones, Nile Rodgers, Chromeo, Charlie Puth and Calvin Harris to name a few, Plextro has developed his own style of funky pop music where the goal is to have a modern production blended with the styles of 70s disco, topped with catchy vocal melodies from pop music.
On the 1st of September in 2020 he released his first single named Cherry Picker featuring vocals from Montel Moore which went on to gather 20 000 streams in the first month of the release, due to a TikTok video posted on his own account gaining traction in the Nordic countries with over 170 000 views.
His second single "Vibe" released on the 4th of December in 2020, featuring vocals from American rapper Chrisjenkins and Singaporean singer Sasha M. His newest single "In Harmony" is set to release on the 28th of January, 2022.
